Effective Judgments | Efficient Justice | Ebony for Judge
My name is Ebony M. Turner, and I am running to be YOUR next Judge of Tarrant County Criminal Court #6. I began my legal career as a Domestic Violence Hotline Attorney advocating for victims of domestic violence. The last 18 years of my 20- year-legal career, I have been in the criminal law field as either an attorney for the legislature drafting criminal law bills, as a trial attorney representing criminal defendants, including assault family violence cases, or as an adjunct professor teaching criminal justice classes at Tarrant County College. Each of those experiences has deepened my passion for those individuals who find themselves caught up in the criminal justice system, especially those with disabilities, those suffering from mental health issues, or battling drug addictions. I believe it is time to take that passion to the next level of service and that is why I am running for Judge of Tarrant County Criminal Court #6.
I believe true criminal justice reform begins in the individual and that sentencing and punishment should not only fit the crime, but the person accused of the crime.
I also believe in an efficient well-run system. I have successfully managed large dockets and have handled literally thousands of criminal cases. So in 2022, I am asking you to vote for Effective Judgments, Efficient Justice, Ebony for Judge! Together, let's reform criminal justice one individual at a time.
I am happily married to my amazing husband Allan and we have 3 children, ages 16, 14 and 8.
In our spare time, we love traveling, amusement parks, beaches, reading and who doesn't love a good spa!
